Flex-Hone Oil

FLEX-HONE OIL
Specifically formulated for use with the Flex-Hone® in honing all types of metals. Contains a blend of honing and lapping oils, a lard oil to prevent galling of aluminum, a moisture dispersant, a nonionic surfactant wetting agent to assure complete lubrication of the surface and a special additive to help keep the metal cuttings and containments in suspension. Emulsided, anti-bacteria agent.

Need Help Selecting A Flex-Hone® Accessory?
Flex-Hone Oil
The Flex-Hone® tool always requires the use of a lubricant or honing oil. Finer surface requirements dictate better quality honing fluids be used. Adequate lubrication is needed to keep the tool from loading and to insure exposure of fresh cutting particles. Solvents should be avoided, as they tend to degrade the adhesive bond in the tool.
Nipple Adaptors
Standard NPT thread designations. Adaptors are crimped to the stem of the tool and designed to extend the Flex-Hones®. Although available separately they are intended to be factory attached when ordered. Please see chart for recommended adaptor size. Extensions sold separately for long bore applications.
Extensions
We often get questions on if we have standard Flex-Hones that can handle longer bore requirements. Our extensions are an easy and inexpensive way to create more length with the our tool. Extensions are available in two sizes, 18" and 36" and are designed for use with male threaded pipe nipple adaptors. Please remember to purchase your nipple adaptors separately. Custom Flex-Hones can also be designed and manufactured to specific overall lengths.

Cylinder Wash Brushes

CYLINDER WASH BRUSHES
Made with 6-12 Nylon for efficient cleaning of cylinder walls after honing. Use with detergent and warm/hot water as recommended by Caterpillar, etc. Special diameters to 14"
