The GBD512180AO FLEX-HONE® tool for surface finishing and deburring is designed for bore sizes between 5.001" and 5.500". Featuring 6.00" of abrasive globules which are composed of 180 grit Aluminum Oxide (AO). Excellent for Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, and softer non-ferrous materials. 240 AO is commonly used for deglazing Nikasil cylinders. 180 grit generally provides an Ra Finish range of 30 - 40 Microinch (.7 - 1 Micrometer).

The BRM FLEX-HONE® Tool is a resilient, flexible honing tool with a soft cutting action. It's unique construction allows the abrasive globules or "stones" to float, assuring the tool will be self-centering, self-aligning to the bore and self-compensating for wear. The tool is available in a variety of different grits and sizes ranging from 4mm to 36 inches. Whether your need is cross hole deburring, surface finishing or edge blending there is a FLEX-HONE® Tool designed for you. A non-directional or crosshatched pattern is created on the surface that contains valuable valleys between the plateaus for oil retention. Finer grits can assist with achieving single RA finishes. In Automotive, Hydraulic, Pneumatic or Industrial applications, the FLEX-HONE®Tool will provide a superior surface finish bringing increased product performance, longer product life and less product reject.
